Pregnancy Isn't for Wimps

Having just completed another first trimester of pregnancy, I think it's safe to say that I'm way too wimpy for this. I'd love to be one of those people who is so excited to be pregnant that they don't mind the nausea that hits at the smell of onions, nor the frequent trips to the bathroom just in case dinner won't stay down, nor the way in which even if dinner is staying down, it's stuck somewhere between the throat and the stomach. But alas, I find it hard to be uncomfortable in any way, shape, or form, no matter the circumstance.

Not that anyone particularly likes to feel uncomfortable, but I have this nagging feeling I'm more of a wimp than some. I've never liked being too hot, nor too cold. Working out is another area that discomfort hits me hard. Really, if you can keep the weight off in another fashion, why put your body through hours (or minutes) of pain and discomfort?

I know I don't really have too much to complain about. Many women would give anything to experience pregnancy, and many others have extreme discomfort throughout all nine months. So I'm counting my blessings that, yes, we're expecting again, and I'm more than excited that the second trimester is here with its renewed energy and appetite!

Lord willing, another healthy Twombly will arrive sometime around December 4th. :)

[Did I mention the irritability factor, or have you already picked up on that from this post? :) ]
